Perpetual Harvest Ministries In this moderen Church day that we live in there seems to be a big problem understanding the differences between the Old Covenant of Moses, and the New Covenant of Christ. From the days of Moses until Jesus came to redeem us the Jewish people lived under a covenant with God (YHWH) that involved doing many works and following several commandments as a way to appear temporarily righteous before God. It was a covenant the the failed to keep because no one was able to fully keep the Ten Commandments of the Law untill Jesus came to fulfill it on our behalf.... this is why they had to make animal sacrifices each year, to make an atonement for all the Laws that they continually broke throughout the year. The blood sacrife of animals covered their sins for a season, but never really made them righteous in God's eyes. So what did the Old Covenant of Moses consist of... To sum it up quickly, the Jews spent their lives trying to gain favor and blessings with God by doing such things as keeping the Law, continual repentance of their sins when they couldn't keep the Law, constantly confessing their sins to God to be forgiven because they couldn't keep the Law, living with guilt and remorse because of the sense of unworthiness that they had from sin because they couldn't keep the Law; and of course making animal sacrifices to temporarily cover their sins until the next time they sinned... because they couldn't keep the Law. They lived under constant condemnation and had no assurance of any type of salvation! Let's not forget that when ever the Jews failed to keep they Law of Moses that they became subject to all kinds of punishments and evil curses that brought on sickness, disease, poverty and even death! And if that wasn't bad enough, their sins and curses were passed down to their innocent children and to their children and to their children on up to the fourth generation; this is what's known as a Generational Curse brought on by sin... This is what's referred to as the Judgement of God! So what's being taught in most churches about the New Covenant of Christ... Sadly what's being taught in most New Covenant churches today is not much different than what the Old Covenant consisted of. Today's New Covenant believers in Christ have been programed to believe that the only way to have favor and blessings and even righteousness with God is by keeping the Law, continual repentance of their sins when they can't keep the Law, confessing their sins before God constantly to be forgiven because they can't keep the Law , living with guilt and remorse because of the sense of unworthiness that they have from their sins which the bible tells us we have already been forgiven of... because they can't keep the Law! Of course they believe Jesus was the final sacrfice, so they don't make animal sacrifices on an altar... but instead they keep throwing themselves upon the altar every Sunday during altar calls as a way to temporarily cover their sins until the next time they sin. They still believe that when they sin that they are subject to God's curses and judgement if they don't repent fast! They live under constant condemnation and have no assurance of any type of salvation! Sounds exactly like the Old Covenant of Moses that was given to the Jews, right? So what's the difference? There basically is no difference because they're living under the wrong covenant! So what's the REAL difference that is not being preached... The real differance that seperates the New Covenant from the Old is simply this... GRACE! Because of the Grace of God, once we put our faith in Jesus Christ, there are no more commandments of Moses to keep, no more repenting of sin, no more confession of sin for forgiveness, no more guilt and condemnation for believers, no more punishments for sins, no more curses, and no more judgement!! I will also add that the Old Covenant Law was never given to the gentiles, but only to the Old Testament Jews; and that the New Covenant gives us newer and better promises and even gives us all of the blessings of Abraham through Faith... not by the works that we do. It seems that the Church has forgotten that Hebrews 8:13 says that God made the Old Covenant OBSOLETE and replaced it with the New Covenant of Christ, which is based and Grace and Faith... Not by the works that you do, by the Laws that you keep or by the sins that you repent of! I think that Ephesians 2:8 & 9 sum it up the best.... "For it is by GRACE that you were saved, through FAITH and not of yourselves. It is the GIFT of God and not by works so that no one can boast". (Eph 2:8 & 9) - Brother Cayce Talbott "Does God Allow Sickness... No!" Many people assume that because God is sovereign that it means that He controls everything that happens on earth, but that is not the case... The bible tells us that God gave complete authority over the earth and all that happens on it to mankind. God gave Adam authority over the whole earth, but Adam gave it to Satan through his sin in the Garden. So why didn't God just take back the authority from Satan and give it back to Adam right then and there? The answer is because He couldn't... God gave the earth to Man so that Man could rule over it, so only a Man could take it back because that's the way that God set it up. But the problem is that no Man was worthy to take it back because of sin... So being the just God that He is, God Himself became a Man, was born through a virgin in a flesh and blood body in the person of Jesus Christ and took back the authority for us that Adam lost to Satan and gave it back to those who are in Christ. So you see, sickness is on earth because of siin... but Jesus conquered sin at the cross and gave back control over the earth to man, and He gave us the power of His Holy Spirit to handle everything that happenes here like laying hands on sick people to heal them and by casting out demons all in the name of Jesus. So when people stay sick it's NOT because God allowed it.... It's because WE allowed it. The devil would have you believe that God controls everything that happens on earth to keep you passive and make you feel that you have no power to change things, when in reality you have the same power that Jesus had on earth... The only question is, are you going to use it? Jesus took the punishment for YOUR sin on the cross where He poured out His precious Blood to wash you clean from all the sins that you have ever committed and even thought about... no matter how bad or how little. He paid our debt that we were unable to pay and forgave us for all of our sins. But in order to receive the forgivness that He offers us and His free love gift of eternal life, the Bible says that we must believe in our hearts that He died for us on a cross and was raised from the dead, and that we must confess Him as Lord with our mouths. Jesus also said that unless we believe on Him then we will perish, but that it is not His will that we perish in hell but that we ALL should Believe in Him. If you are now willing to follow Jesus, and to confess Jesus Christ as the Son of God and your Lord, and commit to Him ... then pray this prayer now. I promise that if you are sincere, God will listen. that I am in need of your forgiveness. I believe that you are the Son of God, and that you came to earth and died for me on a cross and shed your blood to forgive my sins. I believe that you rose from the dead and that you are with God the Father now in heaven. I now receive your forgivness for my sin. I confess you 1) Jesus Christ said that you must be baptized in water for the remission of sins in the name of the Father, of the Son (Jesus) and of the Holy Spirit. ! 2) Find a home church that preaches Jesus Christ where you can be discipled, serve and have fellowship with other Christians. This is very important, you are now part of the Body of Christ and need guidence. 3) Read your bible often to understand God's Word and His will for your life. This will help you get to Know Him. "The preaching of the gospel without the Cross is the laughing stock of hell."

HOW TO MEET JESUS CHRIST
In the book of acts chapter 2 verse 37 the Bible says that after the Apostle Peter preached in Jerusalem the crowed asked him, "WHAT MUST WE DO TO BE SAVED". Beloved, it is my prayer that in this day and time when the Lord's coming is so near that you who do not yet know the Lord Jesus Christ would ask that same question with the sincerity of knowing the truth.
The answer that Peter gave them in verse 38 was this... "REPENT (change your mind about how to come to God), and let EVERYONE of YOU be baptized in the name of JESUS CHRIST for the remission of sins; and YOU shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to YOU and YOUR children, and to ALL who are afar off as many as the Lord our God will call."
Beloved, Jesus Christ, the creator of all things came to this earth, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed healings and miracles, cast out demons and raised the dead, was brutally beaten and broken for your healing and restoration, then was offered up as a sacrifice on a bloody cross for sin on your behalf where He died, then 3 days later He rose from the dead as He fortold and was seen by over 500 witnesses at once and ascended into heaven where He now sits at the right hand of God the Father making intercession for those who believe.
Dear Jesus, I confess that I have sin in my life and
as MY Lord, and as MY Savior and I ask you to baptize
my in your Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus for saving me.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray....
